Apple Pie

This Apple Pie is sweet with green apples in the filling top with pie crust.

Ingredients:

Apple Pie Filling:

• 3 lbs. Green Apples, peeled and core, slice

• 1 cup Lemon Juice

• 2/4 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1 tsp. Brown Sugar

• 1 tsp. Cinnamon

• 1 tbsp. Cornstarch

• 1 tsp. Water

• 2 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter, cubed

• 2 Pack Store Brought Pie Crust

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a pie pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl add in the apples, lemon juice, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and stir well until combined.
  3. In a saucepan over med high heat add in the mixture and cook, stir occasionally until apples are tender.
  4. In a bowl add cornstarch and water stir until combined.
  5. Pour into the apples mixture and stir until combined and bring it to a boil until thickens. Add in the butter, stir well.
  6. Take saucepan off the heat and let cool while preparing the pie crust.
  7. Place one pie crust in the bottom of greased pie pan and pour in the apple pie filling.
  8. Lay second pie crust on a flat surface or cutting board, use a pizza cutter to cut pie dough into strips.
  9. Lay pie crust strips on top of pie filling.
  10. Bake for 35 minutes until pie crust is light golden brown and filling is bubbly hot.
  11. Serve warm.
