
Ingredients:
Apple Pie Filling:
• 3 lbs. Green Apples, peeled and core, slice
• 1 cup Lemon Juice
• 2/4 cup Granulated Sugar
• 1 tsp. Brown Sugar
• 1 tsp. Cinnamon
• 1 tbsp. Cornstarch
• 1 tsp. Water
• 2 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter, cubed
• 2 Pack Store Brought Pie Crust
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a pie pan with cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl add in the apples, lemon juice, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon and stir well until combined.
- In a saucepan over med high heat add in the mixture and cook, stir occasionally until apples are tender.
- In a bowl add cornstarch and water stir until combined.
- Pour into the apples mixture and stir until combined and bring it to a boil until thickens. Add in the butter, stir well.
- Take saucepan off the heat and let cool while preparing the pie crust.
- Place one pie crust in the bottom of greased pie pan and pour in the apple pie filling.
- Lay second pie crust on a flat surface or cutting board, use a pizza cutter to cut pie dough into strips.
- Lay pie crust strips on top of pie filling.
- Bake for 35 minutes until pie crust is light golden brown and filling is bubbly hot.
- Serve warm.
