Plum Upside Down Cake

This Plum Upside Down Cake is moist and filled with plum flavor for  sweet dessert.

Ingredients:

Plum Topping:

• 5 Red Plums, sliced

• 1/2 cup Brown Sugar

• 1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

• 3 tbsp. Salted Butter

• 1 tsp. Milk

Cake:

• 1 1/2 cup Self Rising Flour

• 1 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 1/2 cup Canola Oil

• 1/2 cup Plain Yogurt

• 3 Eggs

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a round cake pan with cooking spray.
  2. Plum Topping, in a saucepan over med high heat add in butter and cook until melted. Add in the brown sugar and cinnamon, stir well until combined.
  3. Add in the milk and stir well until combined.
  4. Pour the batter into greased cake pan.
  5. Place the sliced plums around the bottom of cake pan over top of sauce.
  6. Make the Cake, in a bowl of stand up mixer add in flour and sugar, vanilla extract, yogurt and oil, eggs, beat well until combined.
  7. Pour the batter over the plums in the cake pan.
  8. Bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown and let cool for 10 minutes. Turn the cake over in cake plate and slice, serve. Enjoy!
