Braised Pork in Soy Sauce

Braised Pork in Soy Sauce is delicious to serve with rice for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients:

• 2 lb. Pork Belly, sliced

• 1 tbsp. Brown Sugar

• 6 Cloves Garlic

• Ginger, sliced

• 2 tbsp.  Light Soy Sauce 

• 2 tbsp. Dark Soy Sauce

• 2 cups Water

• Vegetable Oil

• Sesame Seeds for garnish

• Green Onions, sliced for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot over med high heat add oil, add in pork slices and fry for 3 minutes on both sides until golden brown.
  2. Add in garlic, ginger, light soy sauce and dark soy sauce, brown sugar and 2 cups of water.
  3. Place a lid on large pot and let simmer for one hour and remove the lid from large pot and pork is tender.
  4. Serve in bowl and garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
