
Ingredients:
Filling:
• 1 bar of Semi-Sweet Dark Chocolate, melted and cool
• 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
• 1 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
• 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
• 3 Eggs
Crust:
• Store Brought Pie Crust
Topping:
• Grated Chocolate Shavings
Instructions:
- Bake the pie crust at 375 degrees for 15 minutes until light golden brown. Let pie crust cool completely.
- In a saucepan over med high heat add eggs and sugar in heat proof bowl over a saucepan with water. Stir well until eggs are scrambled and sugar is dissolved.
- Add in the chocolate and stir until melted. Take the saucepan off heat and let chocolate mixture cool completely at room temperature.
- In a bowl of stand up, add in the butter, beat well until smooth and fluffy. Add in the chocolate mixture and beat well until combined. Set aside.
- In a stand up mixer bowl add in heavy cream and beat well until soft peaks. The pour in the chocolate mixture and stir well until smooth. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
- Pour the filling into pie crust and place in the fridge for 4 hours to chill. Enjoy!
