French Silk Pie

This French Silk Pie is made with chocolate mousse filling with whipped cream topping in a pie crust is a delicious dessert.

Ingredients:

Filling:

• 1 bar of Semi-Sweet Dark Chocolate, melted and cool

• 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 1 1/2 cup Heavy Cream

• 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened

• 3 Eggs

Crust:

• Store Brought Pie Crust

Topping:

• Grated Chocolate Shavings

Instructions:

  1. Bake the pie crust at 375 degrees for 15 minutes until light golden brown. Let pie crust cool completely.
  2. In a saucepan over med high heat add eggs and sugar in heat proof bowl over a saucepan with water. Stir well until eggs are scrambled and sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add in the chocolate and stir until melted. Take the saucepan off heat and let chocolate mixture cool completely at room temperature.
  4. In a bowl of stand up, add in the butter, beat well until smooth and fluffy. Add in the chocolate mixture and beat well until combined. Set aside.
  5. In a stand up mixer bowl add in heavy cream and beat well until soft peaks. The pour in the chocolate mixture and stir well until smooth. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
  6. Pour the filling into pie crust and place in the fridge for 4 hours to chill. Enjoy!
