Spicy Cajun Shrimp Etouffee

This Spicy Cajun Shrimp Etouffee is made with fresh shrimp in a cajun sauce.

Instructions:

• 1 lb. Fresh Shrimp, peeled and deveined

• 1 cup White Rice

• 1 Onion, diced

• 1 Green Bell Peppers, diced

• 2 Celery Stalks, diced

• 1 can Diced Tomatoes

• 1/4 cup Flour

• 2 tbsp. Old Bay Seasoning

• 1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper

• 1 cup Shrimp Broth

• 1/2 cup Canola Oil

• 1 tbsp. Hot Sauce

Instructions:

  1. In pot of boiling water cook the rice until tender and drained.
  2. In a skillet over med high heat oil and flour stir occasionally and cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Add in the bell pepper, onion and celery, cook for 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Add in the broth, tomatoes and old bay seasoning and cayenne pepper, stir well until combined for 20 minutes.
  5. Add in the shrimp and hot sauce and cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Serve warm in bowls with cooked white rice.
