
Ingredients:
• 4 cups Self Rising Flour
• 1 cup Granulated Sugar
• 4 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Zest from Lemon
• 4 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice from Lemon
• 1 tsp. Lemon Extract
• 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
• 1 cup Milk
• 3 Eggs
Lemon Buttercream Frosting:
• 1 package Cream Cheese
• 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
• 1 package Powdered Sugar
• 1 1/2 tet. Fresh Lemon Juice from Lemon
• 1/2 tsp. Fresh Lemon Zest from Lemon
• 1 tbsp. Lemon Extract
• 1/2 tsp. Salt
Instructions:
Lemon Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease three cake pans with cooking spray.
- In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the flour, sugar, lemon zest and mix well until combined.
- Add in the lemon juice, lemon extract, butter, milk, eggs, beat well until combined.
- Divide the batter into three greased cake pans.
- Bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown and let cakes cool completely on wire rack.
- Make the frosting, in a bowl of stand up mixer add in cream cheese, butter, beat well untill smooth.
- Add in the lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon extract, salt, mix well.
- Add in the powdered sugar and beat well until smooth and fluffy.
- On a cake plate place one layer cake , frost it and then second cake layer, frost it and lay three cake layer on top, frost it. Enjoy!
