Chicken in Cream Sauce

This Chicken in cream sauce that’s perfect comfort food to serve over rice for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients:

Chicken:

• 2 Chicken Breast, split in 4 horizontally split

• 2/4 cup Self Rising Flour

• 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese

• Salt and White Pepper to taste.

Sauce:

• 1/3 cup Self Rising Flour

• 1/2 cup Minced Garlic Cloves

• 1/2 Chopped Onion

• 1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese

• 1/2 cup Milk

• 1/2 cup Heavy Cream

• 1 tsp. Fresh Lemon Juice from Lemon

• 1/2 tsp. Salt

• 1/2 tsp. White Pepper

Instructions:

Chicken:

  1. In a bowl add in the flour, cheese and salt, white pepper , stir well until combined.
  2. Take each chicken coated with flour mixture on both sides.
  3. In a skillet over med high add in oil and place the chicken and cook until browned. Remove from skillet to a paper towel lined plate and drained off greased.
  4. Make the sauce, in a skillet over med high add in butter and oil, cook until butter is melted and add in the onions, cook until tender. Add in the garlic cook until translacent.
  5. Add in the flour, cook for 1 minute while stirring occasionally and chicken broth and milk, cheese. Season with salt and white pepper, stir occasionally until thickened
  6. Place the cooked chicken into cream sauce and let simmer on low heat until bubbly hot.
  7. Serve warm with rice or mashed potatoes.
