4th of July Jell-O Poke Cake

This 4th of July Jell-O Poke Cake is make with white vanilla cake, filled with red, blue Jell-O and topped with whipped cream and sprinkles for dessert.

Ingredients:

Cake:

• 2 cups Self Rising Flour

• 1 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 2 tbsp. Cooking Oil

• 1/2 cup Sour Cream

• 2/4 cup Milk

• 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened

• 4 Egg Whites

• 1 box of Blue Jell-O

• 1 box of Red Jell-O

Whipped Cream Topping:

• 1 cup Cold Whipped Cream

• 1/3 cup Confectioners Sugar

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• Red and Blue Sprinkles for garnish

Instructions:

Cake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the flour, sugar, vanilla extract and oil, sour cream, milk, butter and egg whites, beat well until combined.
  3. Pour the batter into greased baking dish and bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the whipped cream, sugar and vanilla extract, beat well until smooth and fluffy.
  5. In two separate bowls, make the Jell-O according to box instructions.
  6. Poke holes in the cake and pour both Jell-O in the cake.
  7. Spread whipped cream over top evenly and sprinkle with sprinkles over top.
