Monkey bread is a pull apart made with biscuit dough pieces and coated with a buttery sugar sauce.

What’s the meaning of monkey bread?

Monkey bread name comes from 1940’s a slang term for snack food with jumble bread.

What kind of dough can you use?

There is two types of dough you can use: biscuits dough or homemade dough. I will be using biscuit dough in this recipe below.

How to make buttery sugar sauce?

To make sauce is use white sugar, brown sugar and melted butter cinnamon, in a saucepan over med high heat, stir occasionally until thickened. Pour over the biscuit dough in Bundt cake pan.

What kind of baking pan to use?

A Bundt cake pan is best to use in this recipe and it will help keep the bread to stay together while baking.


How To Make Monkey Bread:

Ingredients:

• 1 tube Biscuits

• 1/2 cup Walnuts, chopped

• 1 cup White Sugar

• 1 cup Brown Sugar

• 2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

• 1/2 cup Butter

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and greased a Bundt pan with cooking spray.

Take the biscuits tear in pieces and walnuts in the Bundt pan.

In a saucepan, add in butter, white sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon, stir together until thickened and pour over biscuits dough pieces.

Bake for 35 minutes and let it cool for 10 minutes. Turn it over on cake platter and serve.
