Plum Pie

Plum Pie is filled with fresh plum filling in a pie crust with lattice pie crust on top for easy dessert.

Ingredients:

• 2 pint of Fresh Plums, pitted and quartered

• 4 tbsp. Granulated Sugar

• 1 tbsp. Cornstarch

• 4 tbsp. Vanilla Extract

• 3 tbsp. Unsalted Butter, softened

• 2 Store Brought Pie Crust

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a pie pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a saucepan over med high heat add in the butter until melted and add in the plums, sugar and vanilla extract, cook until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Add in the cornstarch, water, cook for another 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  4. Take saucepan Off the heat and set aside on the counter to cool completely.
  5. Place one pie crust into greased pie pan and pour the filling inside the pie crust.
  6. Take second pie crust into flat surface and use a pizza cutter to cut out stripes. Place the pie crust stripes on top of the filling.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes until the pie crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly hot.
  8. Let pie cool for 10 minutes before serving.
