The lemon pie filling is easy to make with egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, fresh lemon juice and lemon zest.

What’s crust made of?

To make the crust is to use store brought graham crackers crust or make homemade crust.

To make homemade graham crackers crust is to use graham cracker crumbs, sugar and unsalted butter.

What’s meringue made of?

To make meringue is to use egg whites, sugar, cream of tartar.

How To Make Lemon Meringue Pie

Ingredients:

Filling:

• 4 Egg Whites, reserve the egg whites for meringue

• 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

• 1 tsp. Fresh Lemon Juice from one Lemon

• 1 tsp. Fresh Lemon Zest from one Lemon

Meringue:

• 4 Eggs Whites

• 4 tbsp. Sugar

• 1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar

Crust:

• Store Brought Graham Cracker Crust

Instructions:.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

For The Filling:

In a bowl of stand mixer, add in the egg yolks, condensed milk, lemon juice and lemon zest, best well combined. Set aside.

For The Meringue

In a pot of boiling water, place a bowl on top and put the eggs whites and sugar inside the bowl, whisk until frothy, whisk occasionally until sugar is dissolve. Remove the bowl from heat.

Place the bowl of stand mixer, add in the cream of tartar, best well until egg whites firm thick about 5 minutes.

Pour the meringue into the filling, mix well combined. Pour in the graham cracker crust.

Bake for 20 minutes until meringue is light brown. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
