Sticky Toffee Apple Cake with Butterscotch Sauce

This Sticky Toffee Apple Cake is top with butterscotch sauce making it a delicious dessert.

Ingredients:

Apple Cake

• 2 cups Self-Rising Flour

• 1 cup Granulated Sugar

• 2 Apples, peeled, cored, diced

• 1 cup Vegetable Oil

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 2 Eggs

Butterscotch Sauce

• 1 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1/2 cup Heavy Cream

• 1 tsp. Salt

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter, softerned

Instructions:

Apple Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the flour, sugar, vanilla extract and oil, eggs, beat well until combined. Stir in the apples until well mixed.
  3. Pour the cake batter into parchment paper lined baking pan and bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown and let cake cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Make the butterscotch sauce, in a saucepan over med high add in all the ingredients and stir well until thickened like sauce.
  5. Pour warm sauce over the cake evenly and serve warm.
