Cheesy Tuna Casserole

This Cheesy Tuna Casserole is made with tuna fish, egg noodles, peas in a creamy cheesy sauce.

Ingredients:

• 1 box Egg Noodles

• 1 can Tuna Fish

• 2 cups Frozen Sweet Peas

• 1/2 Onion, diced

• 1 package Shredded Cheddar Cheese

• 1 container Chicken Broth

• 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs

• 1/2 cup Flour

• 1 cup Milk

• 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softerned

• Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a pot of salty boiling water cook the egg noodles according to box instructions. Drained.
  3. Place the egg noodles bottom of greased baking dish.
  4. In a skillet over med high heat add in the butter, cook until melted and add in the onions, cook until tender.
  5. Add in the flour, stir well and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Add in the chicken broth and milk, stir occasionally until thickened about 3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and add peas, tuna fish, salt, black pepper and half of cheese, stir well until combined.
  8. Pour the mixture over the cooked egg noodles in the baking dish. Top with breadcrumbs and remaining cheese.
  9. Bake for 14 minutes until bubbly hot and cheese is melted.
  10. Let casserole cool for 10 minutes before serving
