Baked Pasta Skillet

This Baked Pasta Skillet is made with ground beef, cheeses in a marinade sauce with ziti pasta.

Ingredients:

• 1 lb. Ziti Pasta

• 1 lb. Ground Beef

• 2 cans Crushed Tomatoes

• 2 Garlic Cloves, minced

• 1/2 cup Fresh Basil, chopped

• 1/2 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

• 1 tsp. Granulated Sugar

• 2/4 cup Beef Broth

• 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

• 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

• 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese

• Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot of salty boiling water over med high cook the pasta until al dente and drained.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a cast iron skillet with cast iron skillet with cooking spray.
  3. In a cast iron skillet over med high heat cook the ground beef until done and drained off grease and place the cooked beef on a plate, set aside.
  4. In the  cast iron skillet skillet over med high heat add in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cook while stirring for 1 minute.
  5. Add in the beef broth and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add in the crushed tomatoes and sugar, season with salt and black pepper, stir well until combined and cook for 10 minutes until thickened. Take off the heat.
  7. Add in the beef, pasta, mozzarella cheese and basil.
  8. Add in ricotta cheese and top with parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes until sauce is bubbly hot and cheeses is melted. Serve warm.
