Sardine Pasta

This Sardine Pasta is made with sardines and few other ingredients.

Ingredients:

• 1 box Spaghetti Pasta

• 2 cans Sardines, drained

• 2 tbsp. Pine Nuts

• 2 tbsp. Capers, drained

• 1 Onion, chopped

• 1/2 cup Doll, chopped

• 1 tsp. Fresh Lemon Zest from one lemon

• 1 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice from one lemon

• 2 tbsp.  Extra Virgin Olive Oil

• Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a pot of salty boiling water cook the pasta according to box instructions. Reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining.
  2. In a another pot over med high heat add in the pine nuts to toast until golden brown. Place in a bowl and set aside.
  3. In the same pot over med high drizzle in olive oil and add in the onions and cook until tender.
  4. Add in the sardines and cook while stirring until heated through.
  5. Add in the lemon zest, capers and dill, stir well mixed.
  6. Add in the pasta, pine nuts and lemon juice and reserve pasta water, stir well until combined.
  7. Pour in a serving bowl and season with salt, black pepper.
