
Ingredients:
Cupcakes
• 2 cups Self-Rising Flour
• 1 cup Granulated Sugar
• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
• 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
• 1 cup Milk
• 2 Eggs
Buttercream Frosting
• 1 package Powered Sugar
• 1 cup Butter, softened
• 2 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
• 1 cup Shortening
• 1 tbsp. Hot Water
• Black Food Coloring
Instructions:
Cupcakes
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a muffin pan tins with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the flour, sugar, vanilla extract, butter, milk, eggs, beat well until combined.
- Pour the batter into muffin tins liners and bake for 35 minutes. Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
Buttercream Frosting
- In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and shortening, hot water, beat well until smooth and fluffy.
- Half the frosting into separate bowls and in the second bowl of frosting add few drops black food coloring, stir well until mixed.
- Using a piping bag to pipe on the plain buttercream frosting.
- Using a small pastry tip on the piping bag to pipe on the black frosting and use a toothpick to swirl black frosting into buttercream frosting to make look like a spider web
- Serve these cupcakes at your next Halloween party.
