Spider Web Halloween Cupcakes

Spider Web Halloween Cupcakes is easy to make with buttercream frosting on top.

Ingredients:

Cupcakes

• 2 cups Self-Rising Flour

• 1 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened

• 1 cup Milk

• 2 Eggs

Buttercream Frosting

• 1 package Powered Sugar

• 1 cup Butter, softened

• 2 tbsp. Vanilla Extract

• 1 cup Shortening

• 1 tbsp. Hot Water

• Black Food Coloring

Instructions:

Cupcakes

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a muffin pan tins with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the flour, sugar, vanilla extract, butter, milk, eggs, beat well until combined.
  3. Pour the batter into muffin tins liners and bake for 35 minutes. Let cupcakes cool completely before frosting.

Buttercream Frosting

  1. In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and shortening, hot water, beat well until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Half the frosting into separate bowls and in the second bowl of frosting add few drops black food coloring, stir well until mixed.
  3. Using a piping bag to pipe on the plain buttercream frosting.
  4. Using a small pastry tip on the piping bag to pipe on the black frosting and use a toothpick to swirl black frosting into buttercream frosting to make look like a spider web
  5. Serve these cupcakes at your next Halloween party.
