
Ingredients:
Cake
• 2 cups Self-Rising Flour
• 1 cup Granulated Sugar
• 1 cup Cocoa Powder
• 1/2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
• 1 tsp. Almond Extract
• 3/4 cup Unsweetened Cherry Juice
• 2/4 cup Chocolate Milk
• 1/2 tbsp. Unsalted Butter, softened
• 2 Eggs
Frosting
• 1 cup Cherries, stem remove and diced
• 3 cup Powdered Sugar
• 1 container Heavy Cream
• 1/4 tsp. Almond Extract
Instructions:
Cake
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease two round cake pans with cooking spray.
- In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the flour, sugar, cocoa powder and cinnamon, beat well until combined.
- Add in the vanilla extract and almond extract, cherry juice and chocolate milk, butter, eggs, best well until combined.
- Pour the batter into greased two round cake pans and bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown. Let cakes cool completely before frosting.
- Make the frosting, add in the ingredients in a bowl of stand up mixer and beat well until smooth and fluffy.
- Lay down one cake layer on a plate, frost it and then lay down second layer on top, frost it.
- Slice and serve.
