Apple Bread

Apple Bread is moist with chunks of apples, applesauce, cinnamon, nutmeg and walnuts drizzle with a glaze on top.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups Self-Rising Flour

• 1 cup Granulated Sugar

• 2/4 cup Light Brown Sugar

• 1/4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

• 1/4 tsp. Ground Nutmeg

• 1/2 tsp. Allspice

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 1 cup Walnuts, chopped

• 2 cups Apples, peeled and diced

• 1 1/4 cup Applesauce

• 1/2 tsp. Lemon Juice

• 1 tbsp. Vegetable Oil

• 2 Eggs

Glaze:

• 1 cup Powered Sugar

• 1/4 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 2 tbsp. Milk

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a baking loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the flour, white sugar and brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, allspice, beat well until combined.
  3. Add in the apple sauce, vanilla extract, lemon juice, oil, eggs beat well until combined.
  4. Stir in the apples and walnuts, beat well until combined.
  5. Pour in greased baking loaf pan and bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown. Let it cool for 10 minutes before glazing.
  6. Make the glaze, in a bowl of stand mixer add in the ingredients and beat well until smooth.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over top of apple bread and serve.
