Cottage Pie

Cottage Pie is made with beef mince filling top with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients:

Beef Mince Filling

• 1 lb. Beef Mince

• 1 Onion, chopped

• 2 Carrots, chopped

• 1 tbsp. Flour

• 2 cups Beef Stock

• 2 tbsp. Tomato Puree

• 2 tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce

• Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Topping:

• 6 Potatoes, peeled and chopped

• 1 tsp. Butter

• 2/4 cup Milk

• Salt and Black Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over med high heat add in oil and then add in beef mince and cook until browned.
  3. Add in onions and carrots cook until tender. Add in the flour and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Pour in the beef stock and tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, simmer until bubbly hot.
  5. In a pot of boiling salty water pot cook the potatoes are done and drained.
  6. Add the cooked potatoes in the same pot and add in butter, milk, mashed potatoes until creamy.
  7. In a greased baking dish spoon out evenly in the bottom of the dish and top with mashed potatoes out evenly.
  8. Bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown on top and filling is bubbly hot. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
