French Onion Soup

French Onion Soup is a rich, savory onion soup broth and toasted cheesy bread.

Ingredients:

• 2 lb. Yellow Onions, thinly sliced

• 3 tbsp. Flour

• 8 cups Chicken Broth or Beef Broth

• 2 tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar

• 2 tbsp. Olive Oil

• Salt and Black Pepper to taste

• 2 tbsp. Unsalted Butter

• French Bread , sliced in halve

• 1 cup Fresh Grated Gruyere

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot over med high heat add in the olive oil and butter, cook until butter is melted.
  2. Add in the onions, salt and black pepper, cook, stirring occasionally about 25 minutes until onions are tender.
  3. Add in the flour, broth, Vinger and bring to a boil, cook for 20 minutes until thickened.
  4. Place the bread on baking sheet and place in the oven to toast the bread and add cheese on top of the bread to melted cheese.
  5. Pour the soup in a bowl add Top with cheesy toast.
