
Ingredients:
Cake:
• 2 cups Self-Rising Flour
• 1 cup Granulated Sugar
• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
• 1 cup Milk
• 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
• 2 Eggs, at room temperature
Frosting:
• 4 cups Confectioner’s Sugar
• 4 tbsp. Heavy Cream, at room temperature
• 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
• 1/2 tsp. Salt
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease two round cake pans with cooking spray.
- In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the flour, sugar, vanilla extract and milk, butter, eggs, best well until combined and smooth.
- Pour the 1/2 batter into greased two cake pans and bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown. Let cakes cool for 10 minutes before frosting.
- Make the frosting, in a stand up mixer add in butter, sugar and vanilla extract, salt, heavy cream. Beat well until combined to smooth and fluffy.
- Lay one cake layer on cake plate, frost it and lay second cake layer on top, frost it around the edges of cake. Serve.
