Vanilla Cake

This vanilla cake is made from scratch is moist and frost with vanilla icing.

Ingredients:

Cake:

• 2 cups Self-Rising Flour

• 1 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 1 cup Milk

• 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened

• 2 Eggs, at room temperature

Frosting:

• 4 cups Confectioner’s Sugar

• 4 tbsp. Heavy Cream, at room temperature

• 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 1/2 tsp. Salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease two round cake pans with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl of stand up mixer add in the flour, sugar, vanilla extract and milk, butter, eggs, best well until combined and smooth.
  3. Pour the 1/2 batter into greased two cake pans and bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown. Let cakes cool for 10 minutes before frosting.
  4. Make the frosting, in a stand up mixer add in butter, sugar and vanilla extract, salt, heavy cream. Beat well until combined to smooth and fluffy.
  5. Lay one cake layer on cake plate, frost it and lay second cake layer on top, frost it around the edges of cake. Serve.
