Strawberry Pie

This Strawberry Pie is so simple to make with strawberries filling in a pie crust.

Ingredients:

• 1 lb. Fresh Strawberries, removed stems and sliced, rinsed, pat dry

• 2 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice from one lemon

• 1/2 can Cornstarch

• 2/4 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1 Egg, slightly beaten

• 2 Sheets of Store Brought Pie Crust

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a pie pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add in the fresh strawberries, cornstarch and sugar, lemon juice, stir to coat the strawberries.
  3. Roll out one pie crust into the bottom of pie pan and pour in the strawberry filling.
  4. Now place second pie crust into a cutting board and use a knife or pizza cutter to cut pie crust into stripes. Place those stripes on top of strawberries filling.
  5. In a slightly beat one egg and use a pastry brush to brush top of pie crust stripes.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes until crust is lightly golden brown and the filling is bubbly hot.
  7. Take pie out of the oven and let cool for 25 minutes before serving.
