
Ingredients:
• 1 lb. Fresh Strawberries, removed stems and sliced, rinsed, pat dry
• 2 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice from one lemon
• 1/2 can Cornstarch
• 2/4 cup Granulated Sugar
• 1 Egg, slightly beaten
• 2 Sheets of Store Brought Pie Crust
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a pie pan with cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, add in the fresh strawberries, cornstarch and sugar, lemon juice, stir to coat the strawberries.
- Roll out one pie crust into the bottom of pie pan and pour in the strawberry filling.
- Now place second pie crust into a cutting board and use a knife or pizza cutter to cut pie crust into stripes. Place those stripes on top of strawberries filling.
- In a slightly beat one egg and use a pastry brush to brush top of pie crust stripes.
- Bake for 45 minutes until crust is lightly golden brown and the filling is bubbly hot.
- Take pie out of the oven and let cool for 25 minutes before serving.
