Crockpot Red Beans and Rice

This Red Beans and Rice is quick and easy meal to cook right in the crockpot.

Ingredients:

• 1 lb. Smoked Sausage, sliced into rounds

• 1 package Dried Kidney Red Beans

• 5 cups Cooked White Rice

• 1 Yellow Onion, chopped

• 8 cups Water

• 1 tsp. Creole Seasoning

• 1 tsp. Salt

• 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Soak dried red beans overnight in water night before.
  2. In a skillet over med high heat, cook the sausage until brown and then add in the crockpot.
  3. In the same skillet over med high, add in onion and cook until tender, add in the crockpot.
  4. Add in red beans, Creole seasoning and salt, black pepper. Pour in the water.
  5. Cover the crockpot with lid and cook on low for 8 hours.
  6. Serve with cooked white rice.
