
This Prune Jam is made with dried prunes, water and sugar, lemon juice.
Ingredients:
• 1 pint Dried Prunes, wash, pitted and cut into pieces
• 1 bag White Sugar
• 1/2 cup Water
• 1/2 Fresh Lemon Juice from one lemon
Instructions:
- In a large pot over med high heat, add in prunes and water, sugar, bring it to a boil and let it get bubbly hot.
- Turn the heat to low, remove the foam on top of water and let simmer about 30 minutes.
- Use a electric mixer, to mash the prunes, add in lemon juice and simmer about 15 minutes more
- Let prune jam cool for 10 minutes before storing in sterilized glass jars,
