
Ingredients:
Cake:
• 2 cups Self-Rising Flour
• 1 tsp. Salt
• 1 cup Granulated Sugar
• 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
• 1/2 cup Chocolate Milk
• 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
• 2 Large Eggs
Chocolate Buttercream Frosting:
• 4 tbsp. Butter
• 2 cups Confectioner Sugar
• 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
• 1/2 cup Chocolate Milk
• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
Instructions:
Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and greased two round cake pans with cooking spray.
- In a bowl of stand mixer add in the flour, salt, sugar and cocoa powder, mix well.
- Add in vanilla extract, oil and pour in chocolate milk, add in eggs one at time, beat well until combined.
- Pour the cake batter into greased two round cake pans about 1/2 full of batter each pan.
- Bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown and let cakes cool for 10 minutes before frosting.
Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
- In a bowl of stand mixer, add in butter, vanilla extract and cocoa powder, mix well.
- Add in sugar, chocolate milk and best well until smooth and fluffy.
Assemble:
- Place one cake layer on a cake plate frost it spread out evenly and top with second cake layer, frost it spread out evenly around the sides.
- Add candy sprinkles around edges top of the cake and birthday candles on top.
