Crockpot Bolognese

This Bolognese have been cooked in crockpot for 6 hours and serve over spaghetti pasta, grated with parmesan cheese.

What Ingredients You Need

• Ground Beef

• Carrot

• Onion

• Celery Stalks

• Cloves Garlic

• Tomato Paste

• Can of Crushed Tomatoes

• Dry Red Wine

• Milk

• Dried Oregano

• Dried Basil

• Dried Thyme

• Red Pepper Flakes

• Salt and Black Pepper

• Grated Parmesan Cheese

• Spaghetti Pasta

The Instructions

• In the

• Add in the beef, carrot, onion and celery stalks, garlic and salt, black pepper, stir until combined.

• Cover with lid and cook a 6 hours.

• Serve over spaghetti pasta and garnish with grated parmesan cheese.

The Substitutions

• Ground Beef – Ground turkey can be use in this recipe.

• Dry Red Wine – You don’t want to add wine in the recipe and you can substitute wine for beef broth to use.


Crockpot Bolognese

This Bolognese recipe is so easy to make in a crockpot and serve it over spaghetti pasta for weeknight meal.

Ingredients:

• 1 lb. Ground Beef

• 1 Carrot, finely chopped

• 1 Onion, finely chopped

• 1 Celery Stalk, finely chopped

• 2 Clove Garlic, finely chopped

• 1/2 cup Tomato Paste

• 1 can Crushed Tomatoes

• 1 cup Milk

• 1/2 cup Dry Red Wine

• 1 tsp. Dried Oregano

• 1 tsp. Dried Thyme

• 1 tsp. Ground Nutmeg

• 1/3 cup Red Pepper Flakes

• Salt and Black Pepper to taste

• Cooked Spaghetti Pasta – to serve

• Grated Parmesan Cheese – Garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a skillet over med high, cook the onion, carrots and celery until tender. Add in garlic, cook about 10 minutes.
  2. Add in the wine, cook for another 1 minute.
  3. Pour the mixture into bottom of crockpot.
  4. In the same skillet over med high heat, cook the ground beef until done, add in the milk, and cook for another 8 minutes. Add in the crockpot.
  5. Add in the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, thyme and nutmeg, red pepper flakes, mix well.
  6. Cover and cook for 6 hours.
  7. Serve over cooked spaghetti pasta and garnish with grated parmesan cheese.
