White Chocolate Peppermint Cake Pops:

These White Chocolate Cake Pops are made from scratch without using a cake mix or canned frosting.
It’s made with homemade vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream frosting that have been dripping in white chocolate and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies for sweet treats

How to Make Homemade Cake Pops

There are so many cake pop recipes use box of cake mix and canned frosting. But my recipe is using homemade vanilla cake mix recipe that’s from scratch.

The vanilla cake ingredients are very simple to use in this recipe

• Self-Rising Flour

• Salt

• Granulated Sugar

• Vanilla Extract

• Milk

• Vegetable Oil

• 2 Eggs

Vanilla Buttercream

• Unsalted Butter

• Confectioners Sugar

• Heavy Cream

• Vanilla Extract

Toppings:

• Melted White Chocolate

• Crushed Peppermint Candies

The instructions are:

  1. In a bowl of stand mixer, add all the cake mix ingredients and mix well until combined. Pour in baking pan.
  2. Bake in the oven at 350 for 35 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
  3. In a bowl of stand mixer, add vanilla buttercream, beat well until fluffy and smooth.
  4. Then take cake and crumble in the vanilla buttercream and then roll in small cake balls.
  5. Place in the fridge for 1 hour and take cake pops out of fridge and then insert lollipop stick about 1/2 inch into cake ball.
  6. Dip the cake pops in the white chocolate coating and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
  7. Store the cake pops in fridge for 1 hour and can last up to 1 week in fridge.

Notes:

1. Can you make this cake pops one day ahead of time? Yes, you can make it day before and cover, let it set at room temperature.

2. How to make white chocolate? You can add white chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl, place in the microwave for 20 seconds, stirring between cooking time until melted and smooth.

Here are instructions to make it:

Instructions:

Vanilla Cake:

• 1 cup Self-Rising Flour

• 1/2 tsp. Salt

• 1 cup Granulated Sugar

• 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

• 1 cup Milk

• 1 Egg

Vanilla Buttercream:

• 4 tbsp. Unsalted Butter, softened

• 1 cup Confectioners Sugar

• 2 tsp. Heavy Cream

• 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

Melted White Chocolate:

• 2 cups White Chocolate Chips

• 1/2 cup Heavy Cream

Topping:

• Crusted Peppermint Candies

Instructions:

Vanilla Cake:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and greased a baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl of stand mixer, add in the flour, salt, sugar, mix well and then add in butter, vanilla extract, milk, egg, beat well until combined.
  3. Pour the batter into greased baking pan and bake for 35 minutes until light golden brown. Let cake cool for 10 minutes.

Vanilla Buttercream:

  1. In a bowl of stand of stand mixer, add in butter, heavy cream and vanilla extract, sugar, beat well until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Crumble the cake in frosting and roll it in cake ball and place on parchment paper lined baking sheet and fridge for 1 hour.

Melted White Chocolate:

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, add in white chocolate chips and heavy cream, let microwave for 20 seconds, stirring in between cooking time until melted and smooth.
  2. Take the cake balls out of fridge and insert lollipop stick in each one. Then dip cake pops in melted white chocolate and sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.
  3. Store the cake pops in fridge for 1 hour until coated set.
