Shrimp and Grits

Shrimp and Grits is made with creamy cheese grits and garlic sauteed shrimp with bacon.

Ingredients:

• 1 lb. Fresh Shrimp, shell peel and deveined, keep the tail on

• 2 cups Grits, cooked

• 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

• 4 Sliced Cooked Bacon, chopped

• 2 tbsp. Minced Garlic

• 2 Green Onions, chopped

• 2 tbsp. Lemon Juice

• 2 cup Chicken Broth

• 2 cup Water

• 2 tbsp. Butter

• Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Instructions:

• In a pot, add in the water and chicken broth, bring it to a boil.

• Add in the grits and salt, stir to occasionally, about 8 minutes. Remove from the heat and add in butter, shredded cheese, stir to combine.

• Cook the bacon until crispy and chopped.

• In skillet , saute garlic, shrimp in bacon grease until the shrimp is pink and cooked about 5 minutes.

• In a bowl, pour grits and add in the shrimp, bacon crumbles. Serve hot.
