Apple Pie Turnovers

These apple pie turnover is made with green apples and cinnamon, brown sugar, lemon juice in a puff pastry crust.

Ingredients:

• 1 package of Puff Pastry, thawed

• 4 Green Apples, peeled, cored and diced

• 1 tbsp. Unsalted Butter

• 1/3 cup Brown Sugar

• 1/4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

• 1/4 tsp. Salt

• 1 tbsp. Lemon Juice

• Flour, for dusting surface

• 1 Egg, beaten

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line parchment paper on baking sheet.

In a bowl, add in the apples, brown sugar and cinnamon, lemon juice, mix well.

Take puff pastry out of the package and unfold onto a flour surface with a rolling pin and cut each one into 4 squares.

Scoop the apple mixture into each puff pastry square and fold it over the filling. Use a fork to crimp at the edges. Place on baking sheet and baste with egg.

Bake for 20 minutes until light golden brown. Let it cool on wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.
