Lemon Bars


These lemon bars are sweet and gooey with filling of lemony custard filling on top of buttery shortbread crust.

The Lemon Filling

• Eggs

• Granulated Sugar

• Flour

• Fresh Lemon Juice

•Fresh Lemon Zest

• Salt

The Crust

• Flour

• Powdered Sugar

• Butter

• Salt

Gather all the ingredients needed for this recipe.

How To Make It

For The Crust

• Preheat oven to 360 degrees and greased a baking dish with cooking spray.

• In a bowl mix all the ingredients together and press on the bottom of pan.

• Bake for 16 minutes until light golden brown. Set aside.

For The Filling

• In a bowl stir in all the ingredients and mix well combined.

• Pour it over the cooked crust and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes and let it cool for 10 mins.

• Dust it with powdered sugar and cut into squares.

How To Store

Lemon bars can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container because it have egg in it.

Lemon bars can be stored in the freezer and wrap bars in aluminum foil, it will last up to 3 months.


Lemon Bars

The lemon bars have lemon filling on a shortbread crust.

Ingredients:

Crust:

• 1/4 cup Flour

• 1/2 cup Sugar

• 1/4 tsp. Salt

• 1 cup Salted Butter, cut into small cubes

Filling:

• 1 1/4 cup Flour

• 1 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar

• 4 Eggs

• 1/4 Fresh Lemon Juice from one Lemon

• 1 tsp. Fresh Lemon Zest from one Lemon

• Salt to taste

• Powdered Sugar for dusting

Instructions:

Crust:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and greased a baking dish with cooking spray.

In a bowl, mix together all the crust ingredients and press the crust crumbs on the bottom of the dish. Bake for 25 minutes until light brown and let it cool for 10 minutes.

Filling:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together all filling ingredients together and pour into crust. Bake for 18 minutes until lightly golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes.
