Sweet & Sour Chicken


Sweet & Sour Chicken is one of my family favor meal that we eat over rice during the weeknight dinner. You’re love it with boneless chicken breast s in a sweet sour sauce with bell peppers, onion and spices.

How You Prepare Boneless Chicken Breast

To prepare the boneless chicken breast is to cut it into bite- sizes pieces and so chicken will browned all way through.

What’s the other ingredients?

Sweet & sour sauce is one of the main ingredients and made it homemade or use store brought bottle of sweet & sour sauce.

To make the sweet & sour sauce

• 1 cup pineapple juice

• 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar

• 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar

• 1/4 cup Ketchup

• 2 tbsp. Soy Sauce

• 1 tbsp. Cornstarch

Just put the ingredients in a saucepan over med high heat and whisk to bring to a boil until thickened.

Use the ingredients for recipe

• Fresh green and yellow bell peppers, diced up in slices.

• Sliced of pineapples fresh or canned.

• Fresh Parsley to garnish

• Onion cut into diced

• Crushed Red Bell Peppers

• Cornstarch

• Salt to taste

• Serve it over rice or noodles.

How to store leftovers

Place the leftovers in airtight container in the fridge for 3 days.


Sweet & Sour Chicken

This sweet & sour chicken is easy to make under 40 minutes.

Prep Time: 15 mins

Cook Time: 25 mins

Total Time: 40 mins

Instructions:

• 1 lb. Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast, cut up in bite-sizes pieces

• 1 Onion, cut into diced

• 1 Green and Yellow Bell Peppers, seeded and diced

• 2 tsp. Crushed Red Pepper

• 1/3 cup Cornstarch

• 2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil

• Salt to taste.

• Bottle of Sweet & Sour Sauce or use the Sweet & Sour Sauce Recipe

Sweet & Sour Sauce Recipe

• 1/4 cup Pineapple Juice

• 1 tbsp. Soy Sauce

• 1 tbsp. Cornstarch

• 2 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar

• 2 tbsp. Water

• 2 tbsp. Ketchup

• 2 tbsp. Brown Sugar

Instructions:

In a saucepan, add in the sauce ingredients and bring it to boil and let it simmer while stirring occasionally until thickened. Take it the heat and let it cool for 5 minutes.

In a freezer bag, place the chicken pieces inside and cornstarch, shake to mix to coated the chicken pieces.

In a skillet over med high heat with oil, place the coated chicken until browned and place the chicken on paperlined plate.

In the skillet with hot oil, cook onions and bell peppers about 3 minutes. Add in the chicken pieces in the skillet to cook about for 1 minute. Pour the sauce over it and stirring occasionally heat until warm. Serve over rice or noodles.
