Broccoli Cheese Soup

Broccoli cheese soup is creamy and cheese with pieces of broccoli inside to make in 20 minutes.

What’s the ingredients in the soup?

The soup ingredients are broccoli flowers, diced onions, chicken broth roux with flour & butter, cheddar cheese to make it creamy, cheesy.

Can I use fresh broccoli or frozen broccoli?

Either one is okay to use. If you using frozen broccoli make sure let it thaw out first before using.

Fresh broccoli make sure to wash broccoli under cold water and pat dry with kitchen towel.

What other cheeses can be use?

In my recipe I use cheddar cheese but you also can use Swiss cheese to make the soup.


How To Make Broccoli Cheese Soup:

• 4 cups Broccoli Florets, fresh or frozen

• 1/4 cup Flour

• 1/4 cup Butter

• 2 cups Milk

• 1 2/4 cup Chicken Broth

• 1 Onion, finely diced

• Salt and Black Pepper to taste

• 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Ingredients:

In a pot of boiling water, cook the broccoli until al dente, drain.

In a big pot over med high heat, add in the flour and butter, stir until soft form. Then add in the salt, black pepper, mix well. Then add in the onions, chicken broth, let it simmer until thickened.

Now add in the broccoli and cheese, milk, let it simmer until creamy and cheese have melted.

Serve immediately in soup bowls
